I would love to go to the Lake District as so many friends who have been absolutely loved it and sounds really romantic for a UK break.

Our favourite weekend away is to our beloved Lake District which I fell in love with at first sight 30 years ago. We love it in all types of weather and at any time of year.

A perfect weekend for my partner and I would be a lovely hotel in lakes without our two lovely children. Beautiful grounds, breakfast in bed, spa, walking and enjoying the sights and a lovely lunch whilst enjoying the fresh air. We would go home feeling relaxed and in love again, ready to face our hectic lives, work, children and very little play. ooooooh I could only dream!!!!

Heading up to the Lake District for a weekend away from it all with my hound, mobile switch off in a "oh sorry, no signal" kind of way, no computers, nothing to worry about other that taking in the amazingly beautiful views.

My perfect weekend would be in the Lake District, one day spend walking the fells and seeing how many of the great variety of birds I could spot. The second day would be a gentle stroll around the lakes, maybe a trip on a boat then finding a nice pub and having a good meal and drink.

Our perfect weekend would be to walk in the Lake District with our daughter. That is her favourite weekend away. She has been in hospital for almost six months recovering from a road accident and is learning to walk again - so our dream would be to walk her favourite ways with her and her husband. Incidentally, they were on their honeymoon in Slovakia when the accident happened. She's a fighter - and is regaining her health and strength slowly, but surely.

Any of the lakes i love them all! No matter what the weather you can always have a great time. If it is rainy it nice to wrap up and still take a walk out then come back to a nice hot shower and a hot home cooked bar meal infront of an open fire with a well deserved drink. I love to stoll round the quiant little shops too and sit and have a coffee and just take in the fantastic suroundings...yeah lakes every time for me!

A weekend spent with my partner in the Lake District would be the perfect English weekend. The rolling hillsides, fells, numerous lakes, marvellous wildlife and not to forget the ancient history it has to offer. I'd love to try and capture just a glimpse of what it has to offer with my camera and furthermore just relax, enjoy and come back many more times to explore all we'd missed on the first weekend.
