  1. West Wittering

Drive to West Wittering and head straight to the beach! The drive to West Wittering from London takes in some beautiful scenery if you take the A24 and A29. This is Sussex at its best - a perfect mix of coast and country!

  2. St Bees, Lake District

Watching my grandchildren playing together in the sand at St Bees in the Lake District was one of the nicest days ever. Children love the freedom that comes with sand and sea and they don't need to go abroad to enjoy themselves! You can't beat a lovely beach in the UK for family fun and nostalgia.

it was a great place to spend the whole day for all members of the family. there were a wide range of animals mainly ponies which the children could go into the field with. children should enjoy the closeness of animals. so they are not frighened of them and the children can respect animals.

  9. London

We visited the Houses Of Parliament. Next, The War Museum, then a boat trip down the Thames and the fabulous open top bus ride of the sights. The London Eye was an opportunity to see for miles. In the evening we enjoyed a marvelous west end show. A wonderful day to enjoy our British culture in the capital of the world, and it did not cost the earth!

  10. Hestercombe Gardens Taunton Somerset

Wonderful Jekell and Lutchens Garden being rediscovered by friends. Originally belonged about 3 years ago when it was just a matter of putting entrance money in slot in the wall and gardens unruly. No there is a gift shop garden shop restaurant and the gardens have changed beyond recognition without loosing their tranquility and history. Formal gardens ponds woodlands magnificent vistas and a feeling of belonging to a very special part of England.
