  1. Seawitch Cottage, Chapel Road, Leedstown, Hayle,Cornwall, TR27 6B

This was the most charming B&B I've ever stayed in. Warm welcome, beautiful accommodation and the most wonderful breakfast-freshly cooked to order with the best local products. We were offered local information which meant we got to see the best that Cornwall had to offer. It was a wonderful relaxing break, just everything that you'd want from a weekend away.

  2. The Old Lock Up

The breakfast I ennoyed at the Old Lock Up near Matlock in Derbyshire was delicious! Traditional English breakfast washed down with as much orange juice and tea as I could swallow. The owners were so friendly and accompanied us for breakfast - telling us aboutt he ghosts that supposedly haunt this old polica station and prison! WWWhhoooaaa!

We had a wonderful stay at Fryup Farm and the breakfast was out of this world. We were welcomed by the proprietor and made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. Very comfortable rooms and great surroundings. We also fell in love with the farms dog and wanted to bring her home with us!

  5. Symply Padstow

Not cheap, three rooms, all twin bedded but can be hired as singles, of course. All ensuite shower and loo. TV, DVD player, tea, coffee, fridge. Brilliant full English breakfast, or whatever you want to have. For freshly caught fish (smoked haddock, etc) request the morning before. The owners are charming, keep very much in the background, or will book you a table at Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant, if that is what you want, and if you have saved up enough pennies.
