You will find bed and breakfasts (B&Bs) almost everywhere, from guest houses in cities to farmhouses and cottages in the country. Some B&Bs may have as few as one guest room, although some (particularly guesthouses and inns) could have upwards of 10. Bathrooms aren’t always en-suite but some bed and breakfasts offer them as standard. Quality ranges from the simple to luxurious. The homely feel of this type of accommodation continues at breakfast - on farms and in country cottages particularly, you may find breakfast is served around one big table in the kitchen. One thing to remember about B&Bs is that they often do not accept credit cards or travellers’ cheques, so you need cash to pay the bill. Please check before booking a bed and breakfast: a nearby tourism information centre should be able to advise you.
