Regent Street Festival, Regent Street, London
London's elegant Regent Street closes for a musical and theatrical extravaganza. Two stages host live music - one for pop, one for classical - and there's one stage for the theatre troupes to do their stuff.  In 2007, the theme is An Indian Summer, which will see Regent Street transformed into a wash of colour, scent and spices. The event will explore the passion and vibrancy of Indian music, food, entertainment and dancing, all celebrated in true carnival style. www.regentstreetonline.com/regentstreet

Tiger Beer Singapore Chilli Crab Festival, Vine Bar, Brick Lane
For two days in September a taste of Singapore comes to London with the Singapore Chilli Crab Festival; it takes over the Vibe Bar and various other venues along Brick Lane with plenty of help from Tiger Beer. Authentic Singaporean hawker food is in abundance so get stuck in and browse stalls selling clothes and other cultural produce. Watch live entertainment from traditional Asian lion dancing, to sword fighting re-enactments and Chinese magic displays. www.tigerbeer.co.uk/chillicrab
