A brand new attraction themed around the life, books and times of one of Britain's best loved authors, Charles Dickens. A fun journey of Dickens’ lifetime as you step into Dickensian England and are immersed in the streets, sounds and smells of the early 19th century. There are a host of highlights – including 'Great Expectations', a dark boat ride to take you on a thrilling trip through the London sewers to a flight across the rooftops of London -- and a cast of colourful characters to meet. Faversham International Hop Festival, Faversham, Kent
This hop-mad event pulls in the crowds with promises of morris dancing, live music, local crafts, beer...and more beer. The two-day festival takes over Faversham's medieval square and streets to celebrate the market town's hop-picking tradition.  Visitors can expect a colourful line-up of children's entertainment, street theatre, stilt walking, dancing and ceilidh, plus live music on two stages.
