Dr Nick Baylis... What about those 'buts' at the back of our head trying to talk us out of taking a break?

1) But there’s no time in the day!

We have to make time if we’re to make the most of ourselves. This might mean as little as 15 minutes.

2) But it’ll be too expensive!

Feeling worn out or falling ill will cost you far more in the long run... due to arguments, misjudgements, and days in bed.

3) But there’s no one to go with!

Fine, you’ll make new friends on route. Better still, these new-found friends will be the sort of clever souls who take dynamic breaks!

4) But I don’t know where to go!

Explore the possibilities... is a wonderful life-strategy... so why not use the Enjoy England website. Just type in your postcode.

5) But I usually go abroad!

Why torture yourself waiting in airports to spend expensive Euros, when there’s inspirational England just around the corner from you?

6) But I usually take two weeks in the summer

Life’s for living, and we seem to  do it best when we space out our  breaks... through the day, the week, the month, the season and the year. Why put all your eggs in one basket? Your well-being deserves regular and frequent investments.
