The Cotswold Way

The Cotswold Way

The Cotswold Way runs between the World Heritage City of Bath in the south, and the town of Chipping Campden in the north. It is approximately 100 miles long, and runs for most of its length on the Cotswold escarpment. The trail is renowned for its stunning views over the Severn Vale, The Forest of Dean and The Malverns.

Steeped in history and rich in Wildlife, the Cotswold Way passes through majestic beech woodlands, open pasture surrounded by dry stone walls, picturesque villages and towns, over ancient hillforts, past ancient burial mounds, historic woollen mills and stately homes.

The Cotswold Way is promoted as a long distance walk, with limited access for horse-riders and cyclists where status allows. The trail takes on average 7 days to complete. Improvements will continue to be made over the next few years to enhance an already very special walking experience.
