East Midlands

There are some fine four-star venues in the East Midlands that provide great golf in wonderful surroundings. Towards the south there is the five star venue of Stapleford Park, designed by the famous golf course architect Donald Steel. The East Midlands could also be the place to look for an all-round break, with venues such as Belton Woods offering a wide range of activities in addition to two championship courses.

East of England

The East of England offers a variety of excellent golf hotels within a short journey of London. From 5* Hertfordshire golf resorts like Marriott Hanbury Manor to charming 36 hole Norfolk golf break retreats, east England is littered with great short golf break venues. If it's tuition you're after though, then Barnham Broom Golf School is the ideal place to improve your swing.

England’s Northwest

Southport is ideal for seriously good golf, as you can play the famous courses such as Royal Birkdale and host to the 2006 Open Championship, Royal Liverpool, to name a couple. If you fancy a break between golf, you could always sample the thrills of Blackpool’s pleasure beach.

Heart of England

The heart of England boasts two of its best known golf courses; the legendary Ryder Cup venue of The De Vere Belfry and regular host to European Tour events, Marriott Forest of Arden. Both are located near England's second city and offer a great base for golf breaks near Birmingham. There's something for everyone here - Bidford Grange in Warwickshire even has the temptation of free beer golf breaks!

North East England

Complement great golf in the North East with stunning food with venues such as Matfen Hall, which offers a two AA Rosette awarded restaurant in addition to a highly rated parkland course. There’s also an opportunity to sample England’s entry to the 2010 Ryder Cup, the Hunting course at Slaley Hall.

South East England and London

The south east of England offers superb golf break venues near London and the south coast. For a relaxing summer golf getaway, The Marston Hythe Imperial 4* is situated right on the beach and surrounded by great golf. Alternatively, we have a selection of golf breaks to Surrey including the magnificent Foxhills 4*, which is only 13 miles outside London and features two testing parkland layouts. Sussex contains some beautiful venues that offer the quintessential English golf break while Kent too has stunning golf along with cosy accommodation.

South West England

The counties of Dorset, Somerset, Devon, Cornwall and Gloucester provide some fantastic golf break venues and are also amongst the most picturesque in the country. You can enjoy a tour of Poole or Bournemouth, both of which offer a fine mixture of English golf and if you fancy playing some cliff-top golf, then Carlyon Bay and Whitsand Bay are ideal. There is also an array of quaint, traditional hotels in the region that are perfect for a summer holiday or winter getaway.

Yorkshire

Surrounding picturesque York, there are some lovely 4 and 5 star mansion houses offering top courses to help you enjoy your surroundings. The Elizabethan Hollins Hall has hosted PGA EuroPro Tour events and the course at Rudding Park near Harrogate has won several environmental awards.
