Heritage coasts - St Bees Head

St Bees Head

This red sandstone headland, with its sheer, fissured cliffs and gem-strewn beach, is the most conspicuous natural feature on the entire west coast between North Wales and Scotland. A cliff edge path forms part of the Cumbria Coastal Way (www.golakes.co.uk/map/walks.asp) and Wainwright's Coast to Coast Walk.
