VisitBritain - The official website for tourism in Britain
England's first Marine Nature Reserve, Lundy Island (www.lundyisland.co.uk/) is a massive granite island with rugged 400 feet cliffs, accommodating important seabird colonies.
Lundy ponies, deer, wild goats and sheep graze the cliff-top moorland plateau. Lundy has great historical and archaeological interest, and visitors can stay in the old village and castle renovated by the Landmark Trust (www.landmarktrust.org.uk/otherOptions/lundy.htm), which manages the island for the owners, the National Trust (www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main/).
