The Bear in Woodstock, Oxfordshire

An active haunted inn is the Bear Hotel, a former coaching inn that retains parts of the original structure and staircase from the 16th century. There is a haunted bedroom there, where footsteps and other unexplainable sounds have been heard in the "dead of night". The noises are not confined to just the bedroom, though it is the most famous, range from the kitchen to the cellar, which few employees risk going down into alone and at night.
