'Just British' menus at Radisson Edwardian

Just British

Free range pigs from Yorkshire, lamb fattened on the salt marshes of Kent and, just off the Cornish coast, plump glistening monkfish. When you're looking for the finest quality, home-reared, seasonal British produce, look no further than the new ‘Just British’ initiative by Radisson Edwardian Hotels.

Available across the group’s hotel restaurants, ‘Just British’ menus are aimed at offering a truly unique British dining experience, centring on products that are great quality, in season (so when they are at their best), and sourced from local British suppliers.

"Making the most of the freshest, best seasonal ingredients available is what good national cooking should be all about, and British produce is as good as any found anywhere in the world," said Kevin Munden, Head Chef at the Hampshire’s Apex restaurant.

"Many hotel restaurants now serve what is described as international cuisine so you can have anything from Japanese and Italian inspired dishes to ‘fusion’ food with out-of-season ingredients flown in from around the world, but not at a Radisson Edwardian Hotel." He continues.

By turning away from the trend for a ‘cosmopolitan’ flavour and instead promoting home produced ‘Just British’ seasonal food, the Radisson Edwardian Group is doing something different in hotel restaurants.

"Sourcing the best, freshest ingredients is the basis of great cooking and the British Isles produces fantastic food both on land and in the water", says group chef, Jean Claude Sandillon.

"It is no secret that if you care to look around and work with the best suppliers in the country you can find amazingly good produce right on your door step." He continued.

The new ‘Just British’ menus are available at Radisson Edwardian Hotels now. Examples of menu options from the Winter menu include:

Starters

Onion tart with smoked trout and horseradish cream

Mains

Grilled loin of Yorkshire pork with a mustard sauce

Puddings

Warm chocolate pudding with raspberry sauce and vanilla ice cream

Sounds tasty!
