The Black Cat

The Black Cat is a family-run business established in 18th-century stone-built premises, with a pretty patio for summer use. The business is owned by Alan and Valerie Watkins, who also run the town's Crown Inn. All the food is home-made, including all-day breakfast, daily hot dishes, snacks, sandwiches, children's meals and a popular Sunday roast. Home-made cakes are a speciality, and there is a set cream tea. The shop specialises in tea and coffee, and now also has a delicatessen counter. Merchandise extends to grinders, cafetières, teapots, mugs and other tea and coffee-related equipment, plus gifts, souvenirs and recipe books. Guide dogs only.
