This beautiful townhouse hotel dates in part from the 16th century, and offers comfortable seating areas for day visitors. Afternoon tea is served in the cosy club-like restaurant, or on the terrace of one of the two small garden areas on warm summer days. A special menu offers a choice of Parson’s Light Tea (scones with cream and preserves, various teas including the Old Parsonage Blend, and coffees), or Traditional Afternoon Tea (sandwich, home-baked cakes, and scones with cream and preserves, and tea/coffee). Other teatime offerings include toasted crumpets, home-made ice creams and sorbets, and hot chocolate or toddy to keep out the winter chill.
