Haskett's Tea and Coffee Shop

Poster art from the 1920s and 30s decorates the walls of this tea and coffee shop, but the building itself dates from the late 17th century, and a Grade II listing protects its architectural heritage. A cave with a 220ft well was discovered in the basement, now carefully sealed. A wide variety of tasty dishes is served, like liver and bacon, sausage and mash, and pasta bake, plus breakfasts, sandwiches, omelettes and salads. Afternoon tea is a high spot, with over 20 varieties of tea to revisit or experiment with, as well as 10 different choices of coffees.
