Zaika and Tamarind were the first Indian restaurants to get the coveted Michelin star and both still retain it after three years, despite changes to the culinary team at Tamarind and Zaika moving to a new location.  Presentation is very Michelin. Dishes that really do hit the mark include the starter Chakaur Partridge Tikka, Tandoori – partridge breast, with partridge shammi kebab and beetroot chutney; and Gilafi Dum Biryani, diced lamb cooked with aromatic basmati rice, baked under a flaky crust. There is Chocolate Samosa, Chocomaos: marbled white and plain chocolate with chenna (paneer) and roasted almonds, enclosed in crispy envelopes. Served with malai kulfi. A great invention.
