The Three Monkeys opened in a former bank building in 1998. This 110-seater is the concept of Mr Jan Peacock. Its modern lines are graced by a remarkable entry bridge, which looks down onto the bar below. In the centre of the main dining area you can watch chefs in the open kitchen. In this restaurant what you get is perfect Indian food. The Starter Platter for two (£9.95) includes a piece each of Zinga 65 – battered prawns with a chilli topping. Mains include a long list of great dishes including Dhaba Murg, a ‘road-side-cafe-style’ chicken in a sauce of tomatoes, spices and fresh coriander. Two fishy favourites include Crab Malabari and Patrani Macchi, seasonal fish coated with mint, coriander and coconut and steamed in banana leaves…a traditional hard-to-find Parsee dish. Have a deli.
