In 2001 it got its Michelin star. Tamarind is exceptional. Alfred Prasad has maintained the Tamarind tradition, first established by Atul Kochar, on the new menu with old Tamarind favourites but has put on new dishes as well, including Saag Aloo Tikki, spiced potato cakes with a spinach filling, served with tamarind chutney; Tandoori Subzi, grilled broccoli and paneer in spicy marinade; and Murgh ka Chat, smoked chicken salad with red onions and peppers in a spiced avocado dressing. Whether impressing clients, celebrating a family occasion or taking friends out, a visit is highly recommended.
