Curry guide

Curry guide

Pat Chapman’s Good Curry Guide to England's best curry restaurants broke new ground when it was first published in 1984, by being the first restaurant guide to specialise only in the English curry experience.

England, through its long food history, has been found to have some historical links with curry. During the reign of Richard I, spicy stews were regularly prepared for the food table. Today, England is home to a myriad of international dishes and you can delight in many different types of curry from Bengali to Bangladeshi and Goan to Pakistani.

Since the 1992 edition, 'The Good Curry Guide' has also featured a list of Top 100 and familiar restaurants delivering outstanding food and service. We are delighted to feature some of these top restaurants and current winners, including Jaipur in Milton Keynes (Best Indian Restaurant outside London) and Madhu’s of Southall, Middlesex (Best Indian Restaurant in the UK).
