Chutney Mary opened in 1991. Today you will find it packed out and with many plaudits for its exemplary Indian food. The wine list by Matthew Jukes is definitive and would do justice in any restaurant. Chef Nagarajan Rubinath has continued the restaurant’s fine tradition of quality food but with a new menu. Starters include the magnificent Tokri Chaat, potato lattice basket with street food favourites and chutneys, or Konkan Prawns with asparagus. Mains include four different Chicken Tikkas, Duck with Apricots and a fabulous Tandoori Crab. If you’re feeling hungry then why not try the Tasting Menu of seven courses at £55 per head.
