The CheeseWorks
Owned and run by Masterchef finalist Ben Axford, The CheeseWorks has come remarkably far in a very short time, voted one of the ‘Top 50 Food Shops in the UK’ by The Independent for two years running - such commendation is well-deserved.
Ben stocks a massive range of cheeses, with over 100 to choose from, and he’s no slouch in the British stakes either. You might find Double Worcester, Oxford Blue and Smoked Wedmore alongside the sheeps’ milk Wigmore and or goat’s milk Ticklemore and full range of farmhouse Cheddars. The CheeseWorks also operates as a deli, so you’ll come across free-range hams, Hobbs House Bakery’s bread, olives, chutneys and crackers to accompany your carefully-chosen cheese.
