The Cheese Society
The Cheese Society's shop and “cheese café” in the Cultural Quarter of historic Lincoln may be tiny but it is exceptionally well-stocked with farmhouse British and Continental cheese, most of which are hand-made and unpasteurised.
Local cheeses are a speciality – look out for Poacher and Dambuster, local Cropwell Bishop Stilton and Sparkenhoe Red Leicester – but they don’t stint on regional cheeses from around the country. In addition, they sell all the paraphernalia associated with a good cheeseboard, including Lincolnshire plumbread – apparently wonderful alongside a wedge of Lincolnshire Poacher.
