Swinton Park is an exclusive 30 bedroom luxury castle hotel with 4 red star and 3 rosettes awarded by the Automobile Association for excellent facilities, high levels of service and quality of cuisine. It is the ancestral home of the Cunliffe-Lister family and is set in 200 acres of parkland, lakes and gardens.
The restored Georgian stables have been recently converted into a state of the art cookery school run by celebrity chef Rosemary Shrager. Cookery courses on offer range from day to residential courses throughout the year. Each of the day courses has a themed style of cooking such as Simply Italian, Fish and Seafood, Dinner Parties and Modern British.
Residential courses concentrate on the classical preparation of food and mastering essential techniques. These include patisseries, baking, sauces and soufflés, boning and filleting, among many others.
