The first vines were planted on the estate 23 years ago, in a stunning location on the River Dart. There are self-guided trails around the vineyard and riverbank, which makes an ideal location for picnics – we have the wine!
In 1990 a modern winery was built and facilitated with modern equipment. Sharpham now use a combination of traditional and modern wine making techniques to reveal the best characteristics of their grapes. The range is award winning, both nationally and internationally.
- Open: for tastings and walks around the vineyard, March 1 until Christmas Eve, Monday to Saturday, 1000-1700.
- Admission: £3.50 for a self-guided walk and tasting; £7.50 for the Vine to Wine Tour, a fully-guided tour and tasting held Wednesday’s at 1530, April to September.
