Founded in 1978, Ringwood Brewery is Hampshire’s leading independent family brewer. The brewery is situated in the New Forest market town of Ringwood, on the site of the former 18th-century Tunks brewery. Ringwood Brewery has built an enviable reputation for the quality of its beer and service.
Each of the beers is brewed in the traditional way, using only the finest natural ingredients to create full-flavoured cask-conditioned beers of individual strength and character.
Tours
Tours of the brewery are available either in the evening for a group of up to 35 people, or in the afternoon on a Wednesday from May to September. Visitors are welcome to look round the traditional brewhouse, taste the malted barleys and have a rub and a sniff of the hops. They can also see the copper where the malt extract is boiled and the fermentations bubbling away in the Tun Room. A full sampling of the beers is then available and a ploughman’s supper follows evening visits.
The Brewery Store, located in the brewery grounds, offers draught and bottled beer, gift ideas from a whole range of clothing and merchandise, and fine wines from the brewery’s vineyard in the Dordogne, France.
