John Marston built his brewery in Burton upon Trent in 1834. The small East Midlands town has been famous for its beers since the early middle ages, due to the remarkable water in the wells and springs that dot the Trent Valley.

The brewery tour shows how they have maintained the Marston’s uncompromising approach to quality, using only the finest ingredients and time-honoured brewing methods. Visit the working cooperage (one of only four still in use within the UK), see the impressive Burton Union System, referred to as the 'Cathedral of Brewing' and, of course, enjoy a drink of the famous Marston’s Pedigree, or one of the other excellent cask or bottle beers.

This and much more will give you a fascinating insight into a traditional working brewery in the home of British brewing, Burton upon Trent.
