Situated in the heart of Birmingham, this traditional pub is a listed building, has links with Queen Victoria and has a 100 year history.
The Old Royal pub, now a listed building, is over 100 years old and still has the original stained glass windows. As confirmed in an 1899 lease, the pub started life as the Red Lion and since then it has also been known as The White Lion. There is a lion weathervane on the top of the central turret and lions feature in the stained glass windows that, like the exterior of the building, are original.
The exact date when the pub became The Old Royal is unknown, but it was originally situated on Temple Row - a site later required by the City Council for a reconstruction scheme. The Old Royal was rebuilt on its present site in 1960. When the pub was situated on Temple Row, it had been visited by Princess Victoria in 1859 and there is a commemorative plaque on display in the bar today.

Two cask ales are always stocked, with one guest ale and London Pride on offer.
