Yorkshire Orchards grow over 100 varieties of traditional English apples, including dessert, cookers, cider and crab apples and they delight in bringing back such old-fashioned types as Grenadier, Monarch and Arthur Turner. You can buy the apples, as and when they come into season, from their farm gate at weekends, they’re open from 10am-4pm.
You might like to rent a Managed Tree – they’ll do all the work for you, including pruning and training. All you have to do is receive the apples once they’re ripe and there are over 25 varieties to choose from.
