The Sheppy family has been making cider in the West Country for over 200 years for their own consumption. They only started selling it in the 1960s and set up shop on the A38 – the only road from Yorkshire to Cornwall! Since then they’ve grown and grown and they now have their own farm shop, rural museum and tea rooms to encourage you to stay rather than zoom past...

Their 55 acres of traditional cider apples – built up over the generations – are harvested and pressed for their single-varietal cider and juices, all on sale at the shop. Look out for their medium Dabinett or Oak-matured Vintage, a dry Kingston Black or even a sparkling dry Goldfinch.
