At this time of year it’s worth a visit to Perry Court in Kent. As well as over 100 varieties of apples and pears, they grow summer berries, cane and stone fruit, including various plum varieties. Summertime, you’ll find seasonal vegetables including crisp asparagus, chard, pink-rooted spinach, Pink Fir Apple potatoes and globe and Jerusalem artichokes, as well as soft and woody herbs.
They’re not organic, but they use as little pesticide as possible. They sell all their produce in their farm shop, but you’ll also see them at farmers markets locally and in London.
