Bradgate Park is Leicestershire's Premier Country Park with 850 acres of natural parkland, river, hills, rock outcrops, woods, heath, bracken, red and fallow deer along with the ruins of Bradgate House, birthplace and early home of Lady Jane Grey, the 9-days Queen of England. Also Old John Tower Folly. Bradgate Park Visitor Centre in centre of Park with exhibitions, shop and refreshments. Also Bradgate Park shop, refreshments and information point off Newtown Linford car park. Nearby Swithland Wood is 140 acres of ancient woodland, oak, birch and lime.
