If you’re stuck for ideas for keeping the kids entertained this half term, then look no further. We have some great suggestions for days out across the country wherever you are. From museum exhibitions and theme parks to aquariums and visitor centres, there’s something for everyone.

Legoland, Berkshire

Weald and Down Museum

Put on your winter woollies this half term and come to this beautiful site in the South Downs to enjoy a week of creative activities and countryside skills. Follow the trail around the Museum to find the hidden animals, and work out the link between them. Make some bird cake for the hungry birds, try rag-rugging, roll your own bees wax candle, and have a go at brass rubbing and lace making. Also enjoy creative arts, crafts and country storytelling. Witches & Wizards Week

Grab your broomstick and dodge the muggles as witches and wizards take over Life. There’ll be a full programme of activities and workshops including two fascinating Potions and Herbology workshops and a chance to see how levitation works! Shakespeare's Globe

28-30 May 2008
London
A rolling programme of events will take place from 10am to 5pm including family tours of the Globe Theatre, storytelling in the Tent for Peace and backstage at the Globe, costume dressings, stage combat demonstrations and a chance to learn more about Elizabethan instruments with Globe musicians.

Tickets include the exhibition and are valid for the whole day so you can come and go.
