Did you know that Hull’s Holy Trinity Church towers about Trinity Square, once the old market place, and now a contender in the city culture scene? Here is a couple of pubs, bars and cafes with outdoor seating, continental style. As the bells chime the hour, begin the day with coffee and croissants, stop for tapas at Zillis then tour the breathtaking interior of Holy Trinity, the largest by area of all English parish churches and founded in 1285.

Unexpectedly, in ‘Hands-On History’, a former grammar school and now a Victorian-themed attraction, there is, in one of its darkened rooms, the mummy of an Egyptian priest. Yes, really.
