Hotel Barcelona
Once the city’s eye infirmary, the Victorian building is now one of the country’s funkiest hotels as it’s all decked out 50s-style. Totally not what you expect from Exeter and therefore a must-see.
Cavern Club
A regular stop-off for the latest up-and-coming bands. Although just a decade old, the club has hosted 10,000 bands including The Cranberries, Muse and former regular Chris Martin (of Coldplay fame).
Spacex
An uber-trendy contemporary art space. Its programmes vary wildly but they’re all equally cool.
