It's only Rock 'n Roll...

G

et up-close and personal with Bob Dylan’s guitar (shaped like a map of the USA), check out an antique chair owned by Freddy Mercury or get a good look at Madonna’s bustier from her controversial Blond Ambition tour.

It’s all here, along with a bunch of other iconic music treasures, underneath the Hard Rock Café – and it’s free to get in.

Eric Clapton started it all off, when he donated his Fender Lead II guitar to reserve his favourite seat at the bar in 1979, and since then this priceless stash of rock memorabilia has just kept on growing.
It’s housed in an old bank vault (rather aptly), and if you fancy a closer look then why not join one of the free guided tours?

You could be eyeing up the costume and guitar worn by Slash in the Guns N’ Roses video for November Rain; or checking out the harpsichord used by the Beatles on Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. But if that doesn’t impress you, then how about this: the guitar Glen Matlock used to come up with riffs for the Sex Pistols’ Anarchy in the UK.

These musical valuables make the menu of burgers, smoked chicken wings and sundaes available upstairs pale into insignificance.
