isitors to Blackpool can once again go ‘Top of the Tower’, as the world famous Blackpool Tower, re-opens to the public.
The 118 year old, iconic structure and a national symbol of the great British seaside, will shine once more, following a major 10 month, multi million pound restoration programme.
Working in partnership, Blackpool Council and Merlin Entertainments have restored and transformed the iconic Tower and buildings into a must-see family tourist experience reminiscent of its glory days, retaining the grandeur and heritage of the building itself - the famous Tower Ballroom and Tower Circus.
And opening for the first time today, the gruesome Blackpool Tower Dungeon – a fun look at some of the North West’s most horrible history; and the Blackpool Tower Eye – the sensational new 4-D cinema experience and observation deck at the very top of the steel structure.
