ir Alfred Hitchcock once said, ‘Drama is life with the dull bits cut out.' Well, Sandra Shevey’s tour of the director’s London film locations is certainly more dramatic than your average walking tour.

Having interviewed Hitchcock in 1972, Sandra is able to provide genuine insight as she takes you around the locations used by England’s most famous director. She plays soundbites from her famous interview throughout the tour as well as sharing tales of the man’s idiosyncratic humour and artistic vision which really adds to the experience.

The walk takes in sites dotted across London from three of the director’s memorable films Frenzy, The Man Who Knew Too Much and The Paradine Case. Sandra uses period photos and original storyboards to show exactly how Hitchcock interpreted the real-life locations. The tour comes to a fitting close with a drink at the man’s favourite pub, which was featured in Frenzy.

Her walk around Hitchcock’s London is not to be missed for any fan of the 'Master of Suspense'. But if you’re not a film buff it doesn’t matter, as Sandra’s knowledge opens up another side of London’s rich heritage. And with no Bates Motel in sight, you won’t be afraid to take a shower.
