Fred Dibnah and his mates travelled by traction engine during filming for a series. I quite liked that idea of travel, but I bet the novelty would soon wear off.
As part of an exchange travel series, also on TV, two families travelled around on a London bus.

Earlier this year when driving in Cumbria, I was surprised to find myself overtaking someone on one of these on a country lane.  Not sure how legal it is to go on the roads with one of these!
