You’ve all seen re–enactments on TV or at the cinema, but have you ever seen a live event? I was lucky enough to see one right outside the front door. It was a re–enactment of The Siege of Bolingbroke Castle, of 1643. The event was staged over 2 days and I managed to ‘bag’ nearly 1,000 photographs, digital of course, and it was all for free. Some events have an entrance fee as they are staged at places like Lincoln Castle, but many don’t cost a bean.

EventPlan stage manage a lot of these re–enactments and here is their website where you will find a list of forthcoming events: –

I've never seen a live re-enactment myself. The Tudor event at Kentwell Hall looks really good though - http://www.enjoyengland.com/forum/yaf_postst28_Kentwell-Hall--Tudor-Recreations.aspx
