Where is your favourite coastal walk? It may not be a huge hike but I have enjoyed many times walking along the coast from Bournemouth to Southbourne. There is some very good ice cream to be had a long the way.

Not sure if it strictly coastal but there is a great walk from Lynbridge (Devon) through the Watersmeet estate with some wonderrful views of the Lynmouth coastline - you can stop at the National Trust Cafe at Watersmeet for something to eat and then walk back along the river to Lynmouth. There are two routes - one about 3 mile the other approx 9 miles. I am a dreadful map reader and ended up taking my 4 and 5 year old daughters on the 9 mile walk. I did survive to tell the tale but a lot of cake and ice cream had to be promised (a bit of bribery is always useful)!Applause

Anxious Me too ...well not strictly true, but I'm prone to the manly thing of getting lost in the car sometimes and going 50 miles out the way before I do something about it.

I'm going to invest in one of these handhelds - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Garmin-eTrex-GPS-Personal-Navigator/dp/B00003WGP5?ie=UTF8&s=electronics

Hi chorth, I'm not into camping anymore, I like my comfort too much. I Googled 'Camping in Northumberland' and came up with this: -
