Hi all - I'm dead broke at the moment, I know there's "always something to do in London" but does anyone have any good (and free ideas?) - The Museums and Galleries are free right?

Cheers.

London's National Museums and Galleries are free so you can take your pick! I have little children so the most recent museum we've been to for free is the good old Natural History Museum. I personally really love the V&A. Let us know where you decide - you could be onto a good thing I don't thinkthe weather is looking at all promising for the weekend!Think

Try the little known National Army Museum in Royal Hospital Road, Chelsea. Sounds one dimensional and boring, nothing could be further from the truth! Huge variety of exhibits, colour, period costume, prints, paintings, history - I'm not a militaria buff at all, but love the place. Wander round Chelsea, the Royal Hospital with the Chelsea pensioners is next door, spot celebrities even.

Hopefully summer will turn up soon and then there is always a load of free festivals and things happening round and about - I picked up a copy of the London Planner not so long ago and it had loads of free things to do that I would never have known about otherwiseDancing

Aside from free museums and galleries - how about a walk in the park with the weather getting better. There are so many to choose from. Some of my favourites are Regents Park and Hyde Park, particulalry in the summer when they have the concerts and you can sit outside and listen to them for FREE. Or how about getting tickets to TV shows - they are free and you can google them for more info. Hope this helps Angel
