Thanks to everyone who has fed back to us on the forum over the last few weeks. Consequently we have some changes planned to improve your experience.

Over the next few weeks the forum will become visible from all pages via the top navigation and Reply now buttons will soon be visible to non-registered and non-logged in users.

These changes will make it easier for users to find and use the forum and will hopefully grow our community.

Please do keep the feedback coming if you have any other thoughts.

When starting a new topic i found it very hard to actually see where the boxes to type a topic title and message started and finished. The very very pale blue (green?) makes it almsot impossible to distinguish from the white text areas - especially for the title.

Could the colours be changed to make it clearer - just making the shading darker would work.

Yes I've noticed that as well. Would be good if it were a bit darker then I wouldn't have to squint so much!

I wondered if it is possible for enjoyENGLAND to have a forum home page like this: -

http://www.geograph.org.uk/discuss/

'Recent Topics' in this forum quickly disappear out of sight.

I realise that non-members may not be able to view the the Geograph Forum.

Hi escafeld

I've had a look and it does look like a really neat way of letting people see what is being discussed in the forums quickly.

It looks like something we should be able to do, but also (I think) like it may need to go onto our 'development list'.

I'll pose the question to the team and let you know what they say.

Thanks for the tip!

I was wondering if there will be any action on this please. My eyesight is great in the field, but I have this difficulty on screen in EnjoyEngland Pray

In IE the program is sloooooow to upload, as it was yesterday and Preview won't work. I can't even open the site in Firefox. Yesterday (28th July) it was very slooooooooow in Firefox, but using F5 just helped it on a little bit.

Options gives, Watch this topic, amongst others. How about, Email me with updates instead? I've wondered how many have not chosen Watch this topic because they are unsure exactly what that option means. I've watched people new to I.T. struggle with ambiguous wording and have to resort to asking others. Inform me of updates could be another alternative. What does anyone else think?

Hi escafeld thanks again for your feedback. With regard to the Firefox problem our development team have prioritised this and it will be fixed in the next work release, which due for completion towards the end of September.

Moderator, when I log into any other of the websites I've registered with I am able to close-down and re-open the websites and still remain logged-in until I choose otherwise. Are you aware if this likely to happen in enjoyEngland, please?

Hi escafeld. The log-in on the forum is tied to the browser session, so if the browser is closed, the log-in is lost. We don't use cookies as they can be quite problematic.

Hope this helps.
