Ashbourne is a small Market town at the edge of the Peak District. It contains many historic buildings including its impressive church with a 212-ft spire. The Tourist Information Centre can be found in the centre of town in the cobbled Market Place.

The name of Ashby de la Zouch is derived from the Breton nobleman, who inherited the estate through marriage in the 12th century. It has a wide main street, with Elizabethan half-timbered houses and delightful bow fronted Georgian shops. The TIC can be found in the town centre.

Home to the famous Bakewell Pudding, the picturesque market town of Bakewell is located at the heart of the Peak District National Park. Bakewell Visitor Centre is housed in the magnificent 17th century Old Market Hall on the market square.

Castleton is a beautiful village in the Peak District. The village gets its name from the imposing ruin of Peveril Castle which stands on the hillside. The visitor centre is located near the main village car park.

Chesterfield, famous for the ‘Crooked Spire' of its Parish Church and colourful open-air market, sits at the heart of some of the prettiest countryside in England near Chatsworth House, Hardwick Hall and Bolsover Castle. The TIC is found next to the famous spire.

Matlock, dominated by Riber Castle and surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Peak District, is the commercial hub of the Derbyshire Dales. The Information Centre is opposite Hall Leys Park, a large Victorian Park which provides a lovely setting for recreational activities.
