The breakfast here is truly great, the choice is amazing. Not just all the traditional English breakfast foods, but also American staples like muffins and pancakes- freshly homemade. All produce is locally sourced and, where possible, organic. The proprietors are really friendly, and will happily cater for any special diet. On top of all that, the large dining room has a real fire, and huge windows that overlook the beautiful garden. It really doesn't get any better.

Very comfortable rooms. Wonderful breakfast with wide choice of dishes. It's a fabulous (mid-Victorian?)house, beautifully decorated and in such a friendly and thoughtful style. You really feel you are guests of the Salter family without being "over-taken". David and Meryl have known the Porlock area for many years and can make all sorts of suggestions for walks and interesting local sights to visit.

The hospitality at Glen Lodge in Porlock is so inviting. Dave & Meryl, the owners welcome you like old friends. The bedroom was nice and cosy and I the cafetiere on the dresser for that before breakfast cup of coffee. The breakfast was fabulous and just hit the spot before a long day of hiking on the moors. Dave was a great guide at giving us info as to the most suitable walk. I will definitely go back and have already recommended Glen Lodge to many friends.

What a treat to stay here! the breakfast is wonderful! Help yourself to fresh fruit, cereal and the best lincolnshire sausages! Andy the chef is so down to earth and makes breakfast an enjoyable experience. If you are ever in South Killingholme heading for Cleethorpes drop in and have a great meal and stay.

The owner is a charming lady who treats guests as people rather than units. If she is genuinely interested in you she saysso, if not she does not pretend - a real human being. You get up when you like (within reason) and she does not try to intrude on the rest of Brampton, which has a multitude of charms of its own without her telling you about them to justify herself, as so many do.

Tasty and delicious full Yorkshire breakfast, perfect toast and real Yorkshire tea or real coffee. Two fresh local eggs, bacon, sausages with mushrooms tomatoes and fried bread if desired. The farmhouse has been completely rebuilt and restored too a stunning standard with ultra modern bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms. The location and views must be seen to be believed high above Nidderdale just to the west of Pateley Bridge.Excellent restaurants and walking trails within one mile. Not to be missed...

I recently stayed in a wonderful B&B in the Cotsworlds. I have travelled a fair amount and honestly believe this is one of the best places I have stayed. The owners were amazingly helpful and friendly, the was accommodation fantastic and the breakfast delicious. I would throughly recommend people visiting this beautiful part of the country not to miss on a night or two here.

In the dreamy thatched village of Broadhembury is The Old Vicarage. Run by Christine to the highest imaginable standard, we found it the perfect place to base our visit to East Devon with Honiton & M5 only 5 miles away. Our room was enormous and I've never seen so many pillows on a bed! The incredible bathroom was bigger than the average b & b rooms we've stayed in over the years. Breakfast was mainly locally sourced and virtually anything you wanted with especially good coffee. Super!
