Bedale

Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, Bedale has been a market town since receiving its charter from Henry III in 1251. The town has a broad market place, where the market is held every Tuesday, surrounded by several fine Georgian buildings and the 14th-century Church of St Gregory.
