Clevedon

The Victorian Pier at Clevedon

A Victorian seaside town of unspoilt charm. An ideal place to explore all year, offering recreational amenities, beautiful gardens and places of historic interest to visit.

Enjoying glorious views across the Bristol Channel, the local coastal walks have inspired many great writers including Tennyson, Thackeray and Coleridge.

Clevedon Pier is the jewel in the crown, one of the finest and most important Victorian Piers in the country.

An ideal resort for all the family with plenty of activities, whether you like to take things at a leisurely pace or prefer a more energetic approach. From a summer long programme of concerts, festivals and shows to golf, fishing and riding, there really is something for everyone.

In the relaxing Salthouse Fields adjoining the seafront are children’s attractions, donkey rides, a play area and nearby a miniature railway.

The bracing and convivial air has resulted in many fine places to eat. From cream teas to cordon bleu dinners and all traditional specialities.

Old traditions and the latest in modern styles make shopping here interesting. There is individual charm in the specialist shops and the familiar high street names. Close to the town is the Clevedon Craft Centre, housing over 10 studios with quality gifts you can buy from the craftsmen themselves.
