East Dorset
East Dorset is an ideal destination for short breaks or longer stays with its enviable location on the edge of the New Forest, within easy reach of London, Salisbury and the stunning Dorset World Heritage Coast.
The area has a wonderful variety of landscapes, from serene water meadows and river valleys, to the autumnal splendour of Holt Heath National Nature Reserve, with its rare and endangered species and the sweeping downland of Cranborne Chase with its mysterious Bronze-age barrows.
Local arts and crafts capture the imagination, particularly the vibrant and colourful annual Folk Festival and there is tasty regional produce on offer in farm shops and at regular farmers’ markets.
