Kielder Water
Kielder Water and Forest Park is a place where you can escape the trials of everyday life and encounter a wealth of choice and experiences within an environment where the freedom to be tranquil, adventurous or in touch with nature is yours for the taking.
A wide range of recreational opportunities are available, providing something for everyone, whether you are a skilled outdoor enthusiast or looking to absorb the intoxicating sights and sounds at a more sedate pace. The shoreline and forest glades are best explored on foot or cycle and there are many self-guided trails of varying degrees of difficulty. These include walks, which are suitable for the less able bodied and wheelchair users. The Osprey water cruiser is also an ideal way to enjoy the inspirational scenery. Many trails take in the artworks, which form part of Kielder’s art and architecture programme.
There are three main visitor centres, each providing a variety of facilities including places to eat, and additional attractions. Throughout the year there is an ongoing programme of events and guided walks.
