Peterlee

Peterlee is a fairly ‘new’ town, having been developed in 1946. It is surrounded by a wealth of local attractions, many within close proximity. The most well known is Durham city itself, with its cathedral and castle both dominating the city skyline. Skydiving and parachuting can be (bravely) entered into at Shotton Airfield, which is close by. Peterlee is an attractive area for business, with some well-known companies employing many from the area. On a European note, Peterlee is proudly twinned with Nordenham, a town of similar size, population and stature, which lies on the north-east coast of Germany.
